Resized Imagination - Priit Ruttas

Looping black pen covers the whole sheet in a dense all-over tangle, with no edge left clear. The line gathers into darker knots and drifts in long diagonals, and scattered pale patches let the white of the paper show through like openings in undergrowth. Nothing closes into an object, and shapes keep forming and dissolving again.

Drawn in pen, built up from thousands of short overlapping strokes so the image appears out of the density of the line. Priit Ruttas draws to find new space, levels and dimensions in a picture, so that the eye keeps discovering something further each time it looks. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
