My French Dictionary, Page 38 - Priit Ruttas

A page from a French-English dictionary is covered edge to edge in fine black pen, the scribble wound so tightly that only the heaviest entries still read through it: Croissant, Croitre, Croix. The printed columns show as a faint grid underneath, and the drawn line darkens towards the centre of the page.

Drawn in fine black pen directly over a printed dictionary page, the scribble laid so thickly that the type shows through only in places. Priit Ruttas draws to find new space, levels and dimensions in a picture, so that the eye keeps discovering something further each time it looks. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
