Assalto Fantasma - Luis Valquaresma

Curved forms in black, white and grey fold over one another like cloth, broken by flat wedges of yellow, deep green and dusty pink. At the centre a dark shape rises against the pale folds, and along the bottom edge runs a band of hard-edged grey blocks. Everything is modelled in smooth gradients, with no outline anywhere.

Painted in oil, the forms modelled in seamless gradients so that soft bodies meet hard edges without a visible brushstroke. Luis Valquaresma is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Vale de Cambra in Portugal. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
